Sooke - Whiffen Spit Broom Cut - May 23, 2009

In May of 2007 Juan de Fuca Community Trails Society working with the District of Sooke held a Broom Bash on the Whiffen Spit. As Sooke is ground zero for broom we thought it fitting. The event was a great success. People had fun, much broom was removed and the wild roses given breathing space. The group agreed with the District of Sooke to do a follow up sweep this year. The event was held  Saturday May 23 2009.
